Welcome. Here we say in plain words what we do with your information, why, who can see it and what you can decide. We want you to use SyncShow with an easy mind.
In plain words We run SyncShow, and you can talk to us about anything to do with privacy.
SyncShow is a software tool for watching films and videos and listening to music together, and for talking. This page says what we do with your information.
If you have a question about your own information, or want to use one of your choices, write to us from the "Contact us" page. We will answer.
In plain words Wherever you use SyncShow, as a member or a guest, this text is for you.
This text is about the SyncShow site, the app you open in your browser where you make rooms and watch films, and coming in as a guest.
The rules of use are in the "Terms" page, and copyright and the way to tell us about it are in the "Copyright" page. Here we talk only about personal information.
Other sites and services that SyncShow links to have their own policy, and this text does not cover them.
This text covers the SyncShow site, all its subdomains and the services that depend on it. Any attempt at unauthorized access or break-in to any part of it, including the parts used by the team, can be prosecuted under the Computer Crimes Law.
In plain words We make a few words of this text simple here.
"Your information" means anything that comes back to you, such as your mobile number, your name or what you send in a room.
A "member" has an account with a mobile number, and a "guest" comes in for a short time without a number.
A "room" is where several people watch together, and the "host" is the person who made and runs the room.
A "provider" is a company or service outside SyncShow that does something for us, such as sending texts or taking payment.
4
A member's information
In plain words To make an account we need your mobile number, and the rest is for you to decide.
When you make an account we take your mobile number and a few small things such as your name. If you set a password, we keep it with the usual safety measures.
Other things, such as a picture, a short note and a few other details about yourself, are optional. What you write is there so SyncShow works better for you, and you can change or remove it whenever you like.
The answers you give, such as accepting the terms or asking for news by text, are kept with their time so we can show what you said.
If you come with a friend's invite code, or someone comes with yours, we keep that so the invite reward is given correctly.
Keeping the information you give correct and up to date is up to you.
5
A guest's information
In plain words Being a guest needs no number; we keep only what is needed for it to work and to stay safe.
A guest can enter a room without a number. So we have less about them: short marks of the device and connection, and what they write in the room.
We keep these for safety and to stop abuse, and after a while they are erased or made nameless.
Whenever you like, in «My privacy» in the settings, press «Erase the session data in this browser». This erases the data of this visit from the browser and from the guest account, but it does not remove records that the law requires us to keep.
In plain words The writing, files and rooms you make stay with us so the room can work.
Messages, the small attachments that are allowed, subtitles and voice messages are kept as long as needed to show them to the members of the same room, and are then erased automatically. SyncShow does not host films or music. The rooms you make also stay as long as needed.
These are yours. Send only what you have the right to send, and respect the rights of others.
A message you delete is taken out of sight of everyone and out of reach; after a while it is erased from our service completely.
A private message is only between you and the person it is for. It is looked at, like other messages, only when a report of a breach was made or a competent judicial authority asks, and only as far as needed.
7
Film and music: what reaches us and what does not
In plain words Your film and music do not pass through us; we only know what is playing so the room stays in step.
If you put a link to a film, the browser of each member opens it straight from that site and the film does not pass through our server. The server only checks the address, for safety. We keep the link itself as long as needed so the room works.
If you play your own file from your device, the film does not reach us. We only take a few general marks of the file so everyone in the room watches the same file.
SyncShow has only two ways to play, and in neither of them is a film or music kept on our server.
The sites and sources whose links you put have their own policy; SyncShow does not control them.
8
Information that arrives by itself
In plain words Your browser or phone sends a few small things that the service needs to work properly and safely.
Like any site, when you come in we receive the kind of device and browser you use and your internet address (IP). They are needed so the page opens right on your device and we can spot suspicious sign-ins.
We keep this information with the usual safety measures; access to it is limited and is written down. The part the law asks us to keep, we keep in a limited place.
We also have a few simple usage counts, such as which parts are used most or how fast pages open, to make SyncShow better. You can switch them off in «My privacy».
If something goes wrong, we take a few technical marks of it so we can fix it.
9
Payment
In plain words The bank gateway takes the money; your card number does not reach us.
To buy, we take you to the page of the payment gateway. The gateway only gets the amount and the order number from us, and takes your card on its own page. We never see the full card number or its codes.
From a purchase we keep only what is needed for the invoice, for accounts, for legal duties and to help you with a payment problem, such as the order number, the amount and the state of the payment.
The gateways work by their own policy. Pay only on a page where you have checked the address of the bank or gateway.
Purchase records stay for the books, and after you close your account they stay without your name.
10
What we use your information for
In plain words We use your information only for the jobs you see in the table.
Under article 59 of the Electronic Commerce Law, we use each kind of information only as far as needed and for the job written beside it, and not for anything else.
We keep each kind only as long as that job needs it. For how long, see the part "How long we keep it".

Under article 58 of the Electronic Commerce Law, keeping and processing very private information without your clear consent is not right. So we do not ask you to write about your religion, ethnicity, health or private life.
Do not write such things in the room chat either. What you write in a room is seen by the others, and someone may have copied it.
12
Ads and selling information
In plain words We do not sell your information, and ads are not chosen from your personal information.
We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it to choose ads.
If you see an ad somewhere, we put it there ourselves and it is not chosen by your personal information.
We send news and offer SMS only when you asked for it. You can turn off news notices inside the app whenever you like in the notification settings.
If our way ever changes, we update this page before that.
13
Overall numbers
In plain words We may publish overall numbers; they carry nobody's name.
We may publish or use overall numbers without names, like the numbers on the home page.
14
Cookies and browser memory
In plain words To keep you signed in and remember your settings, SyncShow keeps a few small things in your browser, with no outside tracking.
A few small files (cookies) are needed to keep you in your account and to keep sign-in safe. Without them you would have to sign in again every time.
We also keep the settings of the look and of the room and a few small reminders in the memory of the browser. There is also a small mark for the simple counts.
There are no advertising cookies or scripts, and no trackers of other companies, in SyncShow.
Whenever you like, switch the simple counts off on the «Cookies» page or in «My privacy», and erase the data of this device in «My privacy».
What we keep in the browser and what it does

The sign-in cookie
Keeps you in your account and keeps sign-in safe.
Settings and reminders
So we remember your choices, such as look and language.
Counting mark
So we can keep the simple counts apart; it can be turned off from "My privacy".
In plain words What you write in a room is seen by the people in that room.
A room is like a real room: anyone in it sees the words and sounds you send. So do not write what you do not want the others to see.
Do not record or screenshot anyone without their leave, and do not publish what you see in a room. We cannot stop every member from recording, and what they do is their own responsibility.
The invite link is like the key to a room. Anyone who has it can see what the room is and come in, so give it only to the people you want.
YouYou see your own information in Settings and can take a copy.
People in the roomYour name, picture and words in that room.
The hostWhat the members see, and they can remove a member from the room.
SyncShow staffOnly for a report of a breach or at the request of a judicial authority, as far as needed; looking at messages is written down.
ProvidersOnly as much as their job needs, such as a number to send a text.
16
Looking at messages
In plain words Messages are processed automatically; a case is looked at only for a report of a breach or at the request of a judicial authority.
Messages are processed automatically and we do not watch messages by hand all the time. A message you delete is taken out of reach.
A case is looked at only when a report of a breach was made or a competent judicial authority asks, and only as far as needed. Each time the messages of a room are looked at, it is written down with the reason.
A private message, an edited message and a deleted message are looked at only when that message or its writer was reported.
17
Providers
In plain words For a few jobs we take help from outside providers, and we give them only what they need.
Text messages are sent by a text message service that sees only the number of the receiver and the text. Payments are made by bank gateways.
If you switch on notices in the browser or on the phone, the notice passes through the service of the maker of the browser or phone, and only the text of that notice reaches them.
Each provider works by its own policy. We give only as much as its job needs.
If a member types your number to invite you, you get a text with their first name, and one link can stop the next ones.
18
A court order and the law
In plain words We share your information only in cases the law sets or with your consent.
If a competent court asks us for information under the law, we give what is needed. Except in cases the law sets or where you agreed, we do not give your information to anyone.
The law may ask us to keep part of the connection information for a time or hand it over on a court order. We do only that.
We may tell you that your information was asked for; some orders do not allow telling you.
19
Where information is kept
In plain words Your information is kept on SyncShow servers.
Your information is kept on SyncShow servers.
If you switch on browser or phone notices, they pass through the services of the browser and the phone, which have their own policies.
We keep backups with safety measures.
20
How long we keep it
In plain words We keep each thing only as long as it is needed, and then erase it or make it nameless.
The technical data of connections and sessions and the records of an account are kept, with the usual safety measures, only as much and as long as is needed to give the service, for safety and to meet legal duties (including keeping data and financial records), and are then erased or made nameless. Temporary things, such as sign-in codes, are erased soon. Messages and files of the rooms are also erased after the time the room needs them.
When you close your account, you have a few days to change your mind. After that your personal information is erased, and your private messages and files go with it. Public words in rooms stay without your name.
A few things stay for a while because of the law or the books, such as a purchase receipt and the information the law asks for court access. They stay without your name, or in one limited and locked place, and are erased later.
Reports and the record of staff work also stay as long as needed so concerns from you and others can be looked into. Anything still tied to a matter being looked into stays until it ends.
Backups are erased a little later than the main place, because they must stay a few days so we can bring everything back after a big problem.
Erasing the session data in the browser removes it from the browser and from the guest account, but it does not remove records that the law requires us to keep.
21
Safety: our part and your part
In plain words We use trusted security methods; you too, please take care of your code and links.
Your connection to SyncShow is protected, access of the team is limited, and we protect passwords and backups with safety measures.
We use usual and trusted security methods; still, no system is completely safe.
If something happens that could harm you and it is needed, we tell you and say what to do.
22
Your rights and how to use them
In plain words You can see your information, correct it, take a copy and close your account.
Under article 59 of the Electronic Commerce Law, you can see what we keep about you, correct mistakes and ask for your information to be erased. You can also take a copy of your information, turn off news SMS and notices, and close your account.
Seeing your information, taking a copy and closing the account are done from "My privacy" in the settings, and correcting your information from your own profile. If you get stuck, write from the Contact page.
The law or an audit asks us to keep some things and we cannot erase them soon; then, as far as possible, we say why.
In plain words SyncShow is not for very young children, and buying needs age 18 or a parent's leave.
To make an account you must be of the youngest age we allow.
To buy, you must be 18 or have the leave of a parent or guardian.
If we learn that a child under the allowed age made an account, we close it and act to have the information erased. If you are a parent and worried, write from "Contact".
In plain words As we take care of your privacy, you take care of other people's.
Privacy is not only our job; you are also responsible for other people's information.
Sending or sharing other people's private sound and pictures without their leave may be a crime under the law.
Please do not
Do not give your SMS code to anyone; we do not ask you for it.
Do not record or screenshot anyone without their leave, and do not publish anything of theirs.
Do not write anyone's private or sensitive information in a room.
Do not type anyone's number for an invite without their leave.
Please do
Pay only on a gateway whose address you have checked.
After using a shared phone or computer, sign out of your account.
Give the invite link only to the people you want.
25
Our responsibility
In plain words Our responsibility is as far as the law sets it.
We use usual security methods and take care. Our responsibility is as far as the law sets it; for events outside our control, such as a natural disaster or a nationwide internet or power cut, we are not responsible.
If other members of a room record or share something, that is their own act and, as far as the law allows, their own responsibility. The outside sites and sources of film and the service providers also have their own policies.
The safety of your phone, your SIM card and your text code is up to you.
No part of this text takes away a right that the law firmly gives you.
26
Handing the service on
In plain words If the service goes to someone else, the information goes with these same duties.
If the service is handed to another person or company, the information goes with these same duties.
27
Changes, and talking with us
In plain words If this text changes, we tell you before; and if you are unhappy, tell us first.
Whenever this text changes, its date and version at the top change. For an important change, we tell you in SyncShow before it starts.
If you are unhappy about something, tell us through support and we will work it out together.
This text follows the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and disputes are solved, after talking with support, under the same laws.
If you put a link, the browser of each member opens the film from that site and it does not pass through us. If you play your own file, the film does not reach us and we take only a few general details of the file. SyncShow does not host films or music.
How do I erase my account?
In «Settings», in «My privacy», choose to delete your account. You have a few days to change your mind; after that your personal information is erased. Records that the law requires us to keep stay for a while without your name.
Do you sell my information?

Do you see my card number?
No. You pay on the page of the bank gateway, and the full card number and its codes never reach us.
Can I take a copy of my information?
Yes. In Settings, under "My privacy", you get a file. A guest can too.
Any question?
If a part is not clear, tell us and we will explain. See or erase your information whenever you like.
