Welcome

In plain words SyncShow is where you watch films together with friends, at the same moment. This page tells you the rules.

We wrote these terms in simple words so everyone can read and understand them. If something is not clear, ask us on the contact page; we are glad to answer.

Each part has three things: a title, one sentence "in plain words", and the full text. The full text is the one that counts; the plain sentence only makes it easier to understand.

Who we are

In plain words SyncShow is a service that helps you watch films with your friends at the same moment.

SyncShow is a software tool for watching films and videos and listening to music together, and for talking. It does not host the films or music of its users. We do not sell films and have no film library; we only keep the playback in step between you.

SyncShow respects the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran and works with the competent authorities as the law says. When a judicial authority or the committee on criminal content orders it, or when a breach of these rules is found, it closes the room, removes the content or limits the account, as the regulations say (including the Computer Crimes Law).

Accepting these terms

In plain words When you sign up or come in as a guest, you say you have read these terms and accept them.

To make an account and to come in as a guest, you tick the box "I have read the terms and the privacy rules and I accept them". We save the time and the version of the terms, so we know which version you accepted.

If the terms change in a way that needs a new yes, we ask you when you sign in. Until you accept, you can use the other parts, but to buy anything you must have accepted the new version.

If you do not accept, please do not use SyncShow. You can also delete your account at any time.

If the Persian text and the English translation differ, the Persian text counts.

Where these rules apply

In plain words Every part and service of SyncShow, whatever address it opens at.

These rules cover the SyncShow site, all its subdomains and the services that depend on it.

Any attempt at unauthorized access, scanning or break-in to any part, including the parts used by the team, can be prosecuted under the Computer Crimes Law: unauthorized access under article 1 of that law (article 729 of the Islamic Penal Code) and making or sharing tools made for break-ins under article 25 (article 753).

A few simple words

In plain words What the words in this text mean.

"We" means SyncShow and "you" means anyone who uses SyncShow.

A "room" is where several people watch one film at the same moment. The "host" is the person who made the room or who was given its care. A "member" is anyone in the room.

A "guest" is someone who comes in without a phone number. An "account" means signing up with a phone number. A "plan" is a paid package that gives more features.

"Content" is anything you put in SyncShow or play: messages, pictures, voice, files, subtitles, room names and the film you play for your friends.

Age and ability to agree

In plain words You must reach the least age to make an account. To buy, you must be 18, or have the permission of your parent or guardian.

To sign up and to come in as a guest you confirm that you have reached the least age. This age is written in the app and may change.

We do not serve children under this age. If we learn that someone under this age made an account, we may close it.

To buy a plan you must be a full 18, or your parent or legal guardian must agree to the purchase. When you pay we ask you to confirm this, and we save it.

If a parent or guardian approves a purchase for their child, they are responsible for that purchase and for how the child uses the service.

Please do

  • If you are a child or a teenager, talk to your parents before you buy.
  • If you are a parent, now and then look at what your child watches.

Account, number and code

In plain words Your account is tied to a real phone number. Never give the sign-in code to anyone.

To make an account you need a phone number you can reach yourself. We send it the sign-in code by text message or by a phone call, and you sign in with that code (or with a password).

We treat what is done with your code as done by you. If you think someone got into your account, sign out of the other devices in the devices part and tell us; we will try to help you look into it.

Everyone makes an account for themselves, and what you give must be true. Do not sell your account or hand it to someone else.

If you change your number, do it inside the app, with the code that arrives on the new number.

Please do not

  • Never tell the sign-in code to anyone, even if they say they are from SyncShow.
  • Do not send your password or code to anyone; we do not ask you for them.

Coming in as a guest

In plain words A guest comes in without a number, with fewer features and for a short time. Nothing can be brought back afterwards.

You can come in as a guest without a phone number. A guest also confirms their age and accepts the terms.

A guest visit is short and has fewer features. The size of these limits is shown in the app and on the home page.

A guest has no number, so when a visit ends or the guest leaves, we may not be able to bring that session back. If you want things to stay, sign up.

A guest must follow all the rules too. Anyone, even a guest, can report content that puts children in danger or that is against the law.

How SyncShow works

In plain words We keep the playback in step between you; you bring the film and the music.

SyncShow does not sell films or series. We only keep the time, the pauses and the playing in step between the members of a room.

SyncShow has only two ways: a file that each person opens on their own device (nothing is sent to the server), or a direct link that a user gives and that the browser of each member opens by itself.

In both ways the film and the music do not pass through our server and we do not keep them. The server only checks the address, for safety.

How long chat messages and files are kept is in the part «Chat and voice messages». SyncShow does not host films or music.

When a link is played, your browser downloads the film or music straight from the source server. The cost of the traffic (half price or full price) is yours and follows the rules of your operator.

Your content and copyright

In plain words The content is yours; you only give us permission to run the service. Play only what you have the right to play.

Whatever you put or play, such as a message, a picture, a sound, a subtitle or a film, stays with you or its real owner. We do not become its owner.

Only so that the service can work, you allow us to store your content, show it to the members of the room and keep the playing in step. This permission is only for running SyncShow, it is limited, and it lasts while we hold the content and you have not deleted it. We do not give your content to anyone for advertising or sale.

You are responsible for what you play. Play only films and content you have the right to show to your friends.

If someone says that content breaks their rights, they can tell us on the copyright page. We check, and if needed we remove the content or close the room, and we tell them the result.

Please do not

  • Do not play other people's films or files to earn money.

Please do

  • Play only what you have the right to play.

The host and the room

In plain words The host runs the room and is responsible for the behaviour in it. We also enforce the rules.

The person who makes a room is its host. The host can control the playing, invite others and, if needed, send someone out of the room or close it.

The host must be polite to the members and must not let the rules be broken in their room. If the host breaks a rule, we may close the room or act on their account.

The host can hand the care of the room to another member; from that moment the duties go to that member.

Rooms have a limited size and time. These limits are shown in the app and depend on the kind of account.

Chat and voice messages

In plain words Send your messages and voice only for their purpose; recording and sharing what others say without their consent is not allowed.

In a room you can write messages and, if your account has these abilities, send a voice message or a small picture. They are for the members of that room.

Do not record or share the voice, picture or talk of anyone without their consent; sharing private voice or pictures of others without their consent may be a crime under article 745 of the Islamic Penal Code. Do not share private details of others, such as a number or an address.

Messages, the small attachments that are allowed, subtitles and voice messages are kept as long as needed to show them to the members of the same room, and are then erased automatically. SyncShow does not host films or music.

Messages are processed automatically and we do not watch messages by hand all the time. A message you delete is taken out of reach. A case is looked at only when a report of a breach was made or a competent judicial authority asks, and only as far as needed.

A voice message is kept for a while like a written message and is then erased. The person is responsible for what they say, and for any recording they make on their own device. SyncShow does not check talk beforehand.

Relations between users

In plain words SyncShow is for people who know each other, not for dating.

SyncShow is not a dating or matchmaking platform. «Friends», «watch dates» and «whispers» are for people who know each other.

SyncShow does not confirm the identity or the claims of anyone.

As far as the law allows, SyncShow is not responsible for relations, meetings, deceit, money matters or disputes between users.

Forbidden content and behaviour

In plain words Anything that puts someone in danger or is against the law is forbidden.

These are forbidden in SyncShow, in a message, a film, a room name, a picture or anywhere else:

This list does not name everything. If something like these puts someone in danger or breaks the law, it is forbidden too.

Please do not

  • Anything that harms children.
  • Obscene content and explicit nudity, or anything against public decency.
  • Threats, encouraging violence, contempt and hate.
  • Illegal acts, such as selling banned goods, fraud, forgery, and selling stolen data or accounts.
  • Breaking privacy and safety: sharing the private details of others, secret recording, malware and fake pages that steal information.
  • Harassment, bothering and threatening others.
  • Spam and unwanted advertising.
  • Pretending to be another person or the SyncShow team.
  • Getting around the limits, for example making several accounts to get features that are not yours.
  • Attacking the service or taking its data by machine.
  • Selling or renting an account.
  • Selling tickets or charging money to enter a room.
  • Any content that the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran forbid, including what goes against public order and security, insults to sacred things, spreading falsehoods, or teaching how to get around legal limits.

Reports and removal

In plain words If you see something wrong, report it. We will look.

In a room you can report a message, a room or a person. Even guests can report content that puts children in danger or that is against the law.

We look sooner at reports about danger to children or illegal content, and we may close the room until we finish. The other reports are checked in order.

When a competent judicial authority or the committee on criminal content asks, we remove the content and, if the law requires, tell the authority concerned (article 751 of the Islamic Penal Code). We give your information to others only in the cases the law names.

A false report, or sending reports again and again to bother others, is forbidden.

If the rules are not followed, and if a mistake happens

In plain words A reminder first; in serious cases a room or account is closed. If you think it was a mistake, tell us.

Depending on how serious it is, we do one of these: a warning, deleting a message, closing a room and, in serious or repeated cases, closing the account. If the breach is very serious, such as danger to children, we may act without an earlier warning.

If your account is closed, you see the reason in plain words in the app.

If you think a mistake was made, you can tell us, even without signing in, with your phone number and a code we send you. Your message reaches our team and is looked at with care. There is a limited time for this, written in the app.

If copyright is broken more than once, we count the repeats and we may become stricter.

About a subscription left on a closed account, each case is looked at on its own; write it in your message.

Plans and prices

In plain words The price, the length and the features of every plan are shown to you clearly before you pay.

SyncShow has a free part and several paid plans. The features of each and its price, in toman, are shown on the home page and before you pay.

Before paying, you see the final amount, the length of the subscription and the cancel terms in one place, and with two ticks you say you agree: your age or a guardian's permission, and the subscription starting from the time of payment.

Prices may change, but a plan you have paid for stays until the end of that period. A change of price or features is only for later purchases.

If you have a discount code, it is applied and shown on the amount before you pay.

Payment

In plain words Payment goes through bank gateways, and the receipt stays in your account.

Payment goes through bank payment gateways. We do not see or keep your full card number or password.

If the payment works, the subscription starts and you see the receipt in your account. If money is taken from your account but the subscription does not start and the fault is not fixed, the money is returned; tell us in the support part.

An order that is not paid closes by itself after a while, and nothing is taken from you.

If you think a wrong amount was taken, write that order in a support message.

Payment safety

In plain words Pay with your own card and turn off a VPN while you pay.

We advise you to pay with your own card and to turn off a VPN while you pay, so that the gateway works properly.

If the gateway, Shaparak or a competent authority marks a payment as suspicious (for example phishing or use of the card of another person), SyncShow can limit the account and cancel the subscription, and, as the law says and at the request of the competent authority, give the information that is needed.

Withdrawal and refund

In plain words A subscription is a digital service that starts at once; if money is taken but the subscription does not start, the money is returned.

A subscription is a digital service that starts at once, with your request and consent. By law, once it has started there is no seven-day right to withdraw. When you buy we ask you to confirm that you know this.

This rests on articles 37 and 38 of the Electronic Commerce Law and its executive regulation: a service that begins with the consent of the consumer before the withdrawal period ends is outside the right to withdraw.

If money is taken but the subscription does not start and the fault is not fixed, the money is returned. Also, wherever the law requires a refund, we act as the law says.

To ask, write a refund request in the support part of your account and put the order number. We look at it and write the result in the same request.

If the request is accepted, the money goes back the way you paid; when it reaches your bank account also depends on the bank. If you do not agree with the result, tell us through support so we can solve it together.

Renewal

In plain words A plan does not renew by itself, and no money is taken without your permission.

A plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for. After that your account goes back to the free level.

Renewal is by hand: you buy again when you want. We never take money from your card by ourselves.

Before the plan ends we may send you a reminder so you do not forget to renew.

Changing a plan and deleting an account

In plain words You can move to a higher plan or delete your account; we tell you the result before it is done.

If you move to a higher plan, the value of the days left on your old plan is taken off the new price, and you see the amount before you pay.

Until the end of the period you cannot move to a lower plan; after it ends you can buy another plan.

You can ask to delete your account whenever you want. To confirm, we send a code to your number. You have some days to change your mind and cancel the deletion; after that the account and its personal data are deleted.

As soon as you ask for deletion, your plan and your open orders end. If you have a question about the days left on your plan, talk to support before you ask.

Some records, such as financial receipts, may be kept by law even after the account is deleted.

Messages and advertising

In plain words The sign-in code and the messages the app needs are sent to you.

Messages the app needs to work, such as the sign-in code, a security warning and the payment receipt, are sent to you.

We send the sign-in code by text message or by a phone call, as you choose.

Notices inside the app are sent as you chose in the notice settings.

Guests and free accounts may see advertising. Paid plans usually have none; each plan says so in its description.

Availability of the service

In plain words We try to keep it working, but we do not promise it will never stop.

SyncShow depends on the internet and on other services. We try to keep it available, but we cannot promise it will not stop or have errors.

Internet or power cuts, network problems or filtering are not in our hands. If we must stop the service for repair or update, we tell you in the app beforehand as far as we can.

If an outage is long, we may in fitting cases give something back, such as a few extra days. This is a possibility, not a promise, and each case is looked at on its own. If a subscription you paid for never turns on, see the part on cancelling and refunds.

Light and health

In plain words Bright light and quick movement may bother some people.

Bright light and quick movement in a film or video may bother people with light sensitivity or epilepsy. If you feel unwell, stop watching.

In the settings of the app you can set movement to «reduced».

The service as it is

In plain words We give the service «as it is» and «with what is available».

The service is given «as it is» and «with what is available». New or trial features may change or be taken away.

We do not promise that there will be no errors, that the live link will not break, that everything will be exactly in step (a few seconds of difference is possible), or that it will work in every browser, system (such as the limit on autoplay in iOS and Safari) and television, and at every internet speed.

Events beyond our control (force majeure)

In plain words If an event beyond our control stops the work, then as far as the law allows we are not responsible.

Under articles 227 and 229 of the Civil Code, a person who cannot keep a duty because of an event beyond their control is not liable for loss.

These include: war and natural disaster; a break or fault of the national network or the international internet; a fault of the data centre, server or DNS; a fault of the code sending system or the bank gateway; sanctions; a wide cyber attack; and the decisions and limits of state, judicial or telecom authorities.

Changing or ending the service

In plain words SyncShow may change or stop the service; if we ourselves stop the whole service, we try to tell you beforehand.

SyncShow may change, limit or stop all or part of the service.

If we ourselves decide to stop the whole service (not because of force majeure or an order of the authorities), we try to tell you beforehand and keep access until the end of active subscriptions, or give a fitting alternative.

We may hand the service to another person or company, as long as these same duties stay.

Ownership of SyncShow

In plain words The name, the design and the app of SyncShow belong to the owner of the service. You have the right to use it, not to own it.

The name «SyncShow», its mark, design, user interface, texts and program code belong to the owner of the project and are protected by the Law on the Rights of Authors, Composers and Artists (1969) and the Law on the Rights of Software Creators (2000).

We allow you to use the app for your own personal use. This permission cannot be handed to anyone else.

Reverse engineering, copying or changing the program, building a copy from it, collecting data automatically (scraping), or using our name and mark in a way that suggests it comes from us, is not allowed without our written permission.

Commercial use, resale, or offering a service to others through SyncShow is not allowed without our written permission.

Our responsibility

In plain words Our responsibility is as far as the law sets it.

We build and run the service with care. Our responsibility is as far as the law sets it.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what users put up and play, the behaviour of other users, or events outside our control. If you see something like that, report it so we can look into it.

As far as the law allows, our responsibility for any loss is at most the amount you paid for that same service, and it does not cover lost profit or indirect loss.

No part of this text takes away a right that the law firmly gives you.

Making good a loss

In plain words If something a user does causes trouble, making it good is up to that user.

If, because of the breach of a user, a breach of the rights of others, or an unlawful link or content, a claim, complaint or loss reaches SyncShow or those who run it, answering for it and making good the loss and the costs of the case is up to that user (article 1 of the Civil Liability Law).

Notices and records

In plain words A message from us by the usual SyncShow ways counts as received, and recorded entries are valid.

Our notice to you is valid by these ways: an in-app message, or posting on this page.

Accepting the rules with a tick is a valid electronic contract and binding (articles 10 and 219 of the Civil Code and article 12 of the Electronic Commerce Law). The records kept in the system, such as ticks, payments and events, can be relied on.

A few closing points

In plain words Ideas, the parts standing apart, and a few other points.

Any idea or suggestion you send us we may use without any payment.

If a part of these terms is found invalid, the other parts stay valid.

We may publish general SyncShow numbers that carry no names.

You are responsible for the information you give being correct.

Changes to the terms, and talking to support

In plain words If the terms change we tell you beforehand; if you are unhappy, talk to support first.

We may change the terms, for example because a law changed or a new service was added. The date of the last update and the version are written at the top of this page.

If the change is small, we only change the text. If it is important, such as the payment terms or the data we keep, we tell you before it starts with a message in the app, and when you sign in we ask you to accept again.

Going on using the service does not mean you accept a change of price or of the terms of a plan you have paid for. A change of price is only for later purchases, and every purchase is made with your own confirmation.

If you are unhappy about something, tell us through support and we will work it out together.

These terms follow the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and disputes, after talking with support, are settled under those laws.

Common questions

Do I get my money back?

A subscription is a digital service that starts at once, with your request and consent. By law, once it has started there is no seven-day right to withdraw. If money is taken but the subscription does not start, the money is returned.

How old must I be?

To make an account you must reach the least age shown in the app. To buy a plan you must be a full 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.

Does SyncShow keep my film?

No. SyncShow does not host films or music; it only keeps the playback in step between you. The file stays on your own device, or the browser of each member opens it from the direct link.

I think a mistake was made. What can I do?

You can tell us even without signing in: write your number, get a code and explain. Our team will look with care.

Does a plan renew by itself?

No. Renewal is by hand, and no money is taken without your permission.

Any question?

If a part is not clear, tell us and we will explain.
